A team of Nahant Veterans visited Greenlawn Cemetery this morning and reset the veterans markers and flags affected by yesterday's high winds. We appreciate the ongoing work done by our Town's DPW / Cemetery workers as they care for the grounds and help us honor our Veterans.

Thank you. I’m not sure if my Father’s marker (David A Golding) suffered damage, but I appreciate your efforts. I now live 1000 miles from Nahant so visiting Greenlawn to check for myself is out of the question.

Thanks Commander. Your reference to my Father as “Comrade” brought back more memories. When I spent time with him at the Legion Hall in the 50s and 60s I remember his friends referring to each other using that term.

Hi Michael. I can try to get over there and check on your dad’s marker.

Thanks Brenda. When my Mother was alive I’d visit Nahant and Greenlawn often. I really miss visiting. While you’re in that row you can find my Grandparents (Prendiville) a few markers down toward Kennedy Ct. I’m sure all markers are in good shape. Nahant has one of the finest cemeteries for a town its size.
